This wonderful tortoise shell box is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or restoration. The silver is hallmarked Birmingham 1902. The box measures 7"x4 1/4" and stands 2 1/2" high. Cherubs are one of the most popular motifs. The cherubs on this bookslide are adorable and the medallions are in excellent condition. Very unusual colors are used on these medallions. The color pallet is grey and white. On the brass under the medallions is the makers name and patent number. The wood is coromandel which is also known as Kings Wood.
