Beautifully detailed, this English Postal Scale is in excellent condition. The brass is beautifully embossed and the weights are original to the piece. The measurements are approximately 8" across, 4 1/2" front to back and 5 1/2" to the top of the handle. It is circa 1880. This beautiful vesta is fully decorated both on the front and back. It is hallmarked Birmingham 1895 and is in excellent condition. There is a vacant cartouche which allows for personalizing. This truly unusual frame is from the Victorian era and is made of copper. Flowers decorate the entire frame making it an elegant addition to any home. The opening for a picture measures approximately 6" x 4". The outside, at the highest point measures approximately 9" and 6 3/4" across.
