The English hallmark on this frame reads London 1906. The outside of the frame measures 5 1/2" x 7" and the inside measures 5 1/4" x 3 3/4". All the measurements are approximate. Burled walnut with an ebonized trim make this piece a lovely addition to any home. There are two crystal inkwells and a drawer to store pens, pencils, etc. The drawer opens with a crystal knob. The piece was made around circa 1870 and is in excellent condition. It measures 13" across at the widest point and narrows down to 8 1/2" towards the back. It stands 6 1/2" high and there is a brass candlestick behind the inkwells.
